13th - Bausch & Lomb Championships at Amelia Island
Plantation - This premier Women's Tennis Association Tour
event is one of the favorite stops for both players and fans
alike. The greatest names in women's tennis flock to Amelia
Island for one of the Women's Tennis Association's premier
events. April 19th -
"Katie Ride For Life" - There are over 90,000 Americans
currently on the national organ transplant waiting list.
Over 3,000 are listed at transplant centers right here in
Florida. Any one of us could start a new day only to find
that we been diagnosed with an illness or injured in an
accident in which our only lifeline is an organ

& 4 - Shrimpfestival
- As a
part of local history, Fernandina Beach is credited with
being the birthplace of the modern commercial shrimping
industry early in the 20th century. The first Shrimp
Festival was held in 1963 to celebrate the traditional
blessing of the shrimp fleet. June 19th
- 21st It's never
to early to make your plans to attend the annual Amelia
Island Chamber Music Festival. This
celebration of timeless chamber music attracts
world-renowned artists to this once-sleepy seafaring village
of Fernandina Beach. The Victorian charm provides an ideal
backdrop for one of the country's finest music
festivals. Scheduled
performers include Lynn Harrell, Valentina Lisitsa,
Christopher Rex, and Hilary Hahn, among others. Festival
venues include a variety of historic settings, such as Fort
Clinch, the Palace Saloon, the old Nassau County Courthouse

3rd - 5th October
5th - 12th - will once again light up the island with a
week-long series of events celebrating the diverse
all-American art form, jazz. Under the creative direction of
renowned jazz drummer and bandleader, Les DeMerle, the
festival will kick-off on Sunday 10/5 with a free jazz
concert, continuing Monday 10/6 through Thursday 10/9 with a
Sponsors' Party and educational programs for youth in the
schools, for families and for seniors. All concerts will
feature world-class jazz artists in a wide variety of styles
including Dixieland, Smooth Jazz, Bebop, Big Band, Blues,
Latin and more at St. Peter's Episcopal Church Courtyard and
several other charming venues on beautiful Amelia Island,

Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance at The Ritz-Carlton,
Amelia Island - The Cadillac of car shows, the Amelia Island
Concours d'Elegance is one of the most prominent classic car
shows in the United States and has raised millions of
dollars for the Community Hospice of Northeast
Florida.

Nassau Sport Fishing Association's Kingfish Tournament
of Champions - Challenging participants' fishing prowess,
one of the third largest events on the Southern Kingfish
Association tournament trail, the Kingfish Tournament of
Champions attracts top anglers to Amelia Island. This
four-day event includes a Sunday fish fry and other
festivities.

The Book Island Festival, generally held the first
weekend in October. Events include meeting authors,
